Measurement in Year 2

In maths this week we have been learning all about measure. We had a fantastic morning where we explored mass, capacity and measuring in centimetres. We worked on different stations from making magic potions in millilitres to measuring beanstalks in centimetres. We also compared different weights of food and weighed out sugar and salt.
Spanish Art in Year 3

This week in Year 3, we have been celebrating the National Day of Spain. We have learnt all about how Spanish people live and even created our own Spanish flag using a collage of our traditional Spanish tile colourings.

Hedgehogs in Reception

This week,we have been looking at the topic Autumn. We have based this topic around the book ‘The Prickly Hedgehog.’ In class, we have made clay Hedgehogs, collaged Hedgehogs and made autumn pictures using natural resources.
Mandalas in Year 1

At forest school this week we looked at Mandala patterns and Andy Goldsworthy. The children collected different coloured leaves on their way to school and we made our own masterpieces!
Electrical Investigations in Year 6

In Year 6, we have continued to explore electricity. We have been investigating three different questions: Does wire length affect the brightness of a bulb in a circuit? Do the amount of components (bulbs/buzzers) affect how they work in a circuit? Does the voltage of a battery affect how the components in a circuit work?
Tutankhamun’s Tomb in Year 5

Year 5 are currently learning about Ancient Egypt and in Topic this week they have been creating a Keynote presentation on the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb. They are researching all the information and are looking forward to presenting them to the class when they are finished.
