Nationwide Visit Year 5

This week Year 5 were visited by staff from Nationwide Building Society. Dave, Alice and Simon taught us all about budgeting and saving. They showed us the difference between needs and wants and we had great fun working out our budget at a theme park.

In Year 5 we have been learning about the life and works of Phillis Wheatley. As a result, we have created some art and poetry based on her magnificent poetry. 

Year 5 & 6 Spanish Club

This week, children from Year 5 & Year 6 have started Spanish club after school. We learnt all about the ‘Day of the Dead’ festival and the artwork associated with it. The children created and coloured skull masks, made origami flowers and painted papel picado.
