The Rainforest in Year 5

IMG_4883

Year 5 have been learning all about the Rainforest as part of their Geography Topic this term. They had the most incredible day with Sue Shaw from the Rainforest Roadshow. They learnt all about different aspects of the Rainforest from how locals hunt, what they wear and about the animals they would meet! The children got the opportunity to meet, touch and hold some of these creatures, from giant stick insects to turantulas. They also made their own jewellery inspired by the tribal jewellery they had been looking at earlier in the day. Finally, they got to do observational drawings of some creatures and objects that had been preserved.  The pupils had the most incredible day and said they would love to do it all over again!
