Chinese New Year in Reception

Reception have had a wonderful time learning about Chinese New Year. The children have been busy playing in the Chinese Restaurant and tasting typical Chinese food, creating Chinese lanterns, painting Chinese style symbols and travelling like the animals in the Chinese Zodiac Race story.

Wellness Week in Reception

It has been a fabulous week in Reception, we have had so much fun during Wellness Week. Here some of the children are proudly showing off their ‘Jars of Happiness’, filled with all sorts of bright, shiny and happy items. Well done for working so hard and for looking after each other.

Lost and Found in Reception

Little Red Riding Hood in Reception

Reception have been learning about the story of Little Red Riding Hood this week. We t worked on our scissor skills and cut out lots of yummy food to put in a basket to take to grandma. They then worked really hard to write what each item was. It was challenging but fun.

Nativity in Reception

Nursery and Reception performed a wonderful Nativity on Wednesday, in St Nicholas Church. We are incredibly proud of the children for behaving so well and for singing so beautifully. Also, a huge thank you to parents for providing such lovely costumes! We hope you all enjoyed the performance.

Diwali in Reception

Reception have been learning about Diwali, the Hindu festival of light. We learnt about the story of Rama and Sita and have been busy creating rangoli patterns in glitter, creating clay diya lamps and decorating hand templates with mehndi patterns.
