Abstract Drawings in Year 3

In Art in Year 3, we have been looking at ‘Growing Artists’ and have practised lots of skills before creating our final pieces. We looked at sketching, shading to create tone, and adding colour to our drawings and finally produced a close up, abstract picture of a flower. We hope you like them!

Instructions in Year 3

Our latest topic in English has involved looking at reading and writing instructions. This week, we finished off this topic by writing our own set of instructions on how to wash Scarlett, our school dog! Welsh Water

Year 5 has a special visit from Welsh Water at the beginning of this week. They took part in workshops thinking about how much water they used daily and understanding how not to waste water. The activities allowed them to grasp how much water we waste.
