County North Football Tournament
On Thursday 2nd March we travelled to the Herefordshire FA ground to play in the boys County Tournament. Our first game was against Ivington School and we beat them 3-0 with Oscar H scoring 2 and Freddy O with 1. Our second game was meant to be against Pencombe but unfortunately they did not turn up so we got an automatic win. Our third game was against Weobley and we beat them 1-0 with Ellis scoring a cracker of a free-kick! Our final group match was against Staunton-on- Wye, we tried our hardest and managed to draw to give us the point we needed to move us into the semi-final.
The semi-final was against Holmer. It was a tense game but in the final minute, Mario superbly assisted Ellis with a lovely trivela to take the victory!
In the final we faced Orleton. We beat them 1-0 with an unbelievable free-kick into the top corner from Charlie to win the tournament!
In May we will now go to Edgar street to play the winner of the County South tournament.
