As part of our History topic we are taking the children to an “Evacuees Day” to Hereford Museum.  The children will discover what it was like to be an evacuee during the war and they’ll be able to handle genuine artifacts from the period.

The children can come to school dressed as a 1939 evacuee for role-play.  During our visit, there will be a series of workshops for them including food rationing; household chores; and making a toy.

Class 4F ~ Friday 18th November 2016

Class 4B ~ Wednesday 23rd November 2016

Class 4G ~ Friday 25th November 2016

We are asking for a contribution of £5.00 for each child to cover the costs of the museum assistants..  We hope you will agree that this is very good value for money.  Please would you return the reply slip, with your contribution of £5.00 as soon as possible.  We would like to reassure you that the education of your child will not be prejudiced if your child is unable to take advantage of this school visit – but do discuss any concerns with the class teacher (other arrangements can be made for payments if required).  Thank you.
