In Year 5 we have had a great day for World Book Day and its 25th Anniversary!
Lots of us dressed up and we had good discussions about who we were and what books we were from.
Story in a Jar:
We each brought in a jar and spent time making different resources to go in our jar to represent one of our favourite stories.
Sentence Starters:
At random times throughout the day, we pulled out a ‘Story Starter’ and as a class we had to finish the story. This was great fun and it was interesting to hear the range of different ideas and vocabulary being used.
We also watched some famous authors reading extracts from their books and had a ‘Guess the Quote’ game. We had a really great day!
