Windmills in Year 1

This week Year 1 had a day dedicated to being designers and creators. We had a client mouse who wanted a windmill. We looked at the different features of a windmill and their purpose before designing and creating our own for a mouse. We had to use lots of different skills to create our windmills. Afterwards we evaluated them and decided they all had a good, strong structure and the turbines turned fast in the wind. To improve them next time we would add more decorations – especially glitter!
