Truss Bridges in Year 5

In Year 5 we have been busy creating our very own Truss Bridges. We had to cut, shape, join and finish accurately. It took much longer than we thought to create them. This week, once they were all finished we tested the weight they could carry. They were so much stronger than we imagined! We now have a much more complex understanding of how you can strengthen and reinforce a materials for structural purposes.
