Trees in Year 1

Year 1 have started to learn about trees and plants.  We learnt the names of parts of a tree and learnt about what the different parts do.  We found a way to measure the trees and calculate how old they are.  The oldest one we found was 118 years old! 

We also went into the eco garden and looked at the many buds that are growing. In the space of a week some have started to grow leaves!
