Today we re-enacted the Roman Invasion on the Celts in the playground. The role of the Romans was to upturn all the cones set out on the playground and the Celts job was to protect their land by turning the cones the correct way. The group with the most cones the same way was the winner! The Celts won the first round but the Romans were too strong in the other two rounds and came out on top. We also got to wear our helmets that we had made in a previous week, making it obvious who was on which side. It was so much fun and we learnt a lot about the reasoning behind the invasion and the impact that it had on the Celts way of life.
