Spaghetti Towers in Year 2

thumbnail_image001

This week the children took part in a team building challenge to test team work, resilience and communication. The children were tasked with trying to create the tallest tower that they could possibly make, using only spaghetti and marshmallows.

We discussed the shapes that could help with structure and how we could add more spaghetti together to form a stronger support. We trialled different types of tower based on tall buildings, towers and pyramids that we researched together. We learnt that the Eiffel Tower is in Paris, Big Ben is in London and the Burj Khalifa is tallest building in the world!
