Space in Year 4

In Year 4, we have begun our space topic. This week we have been learning all about how the Soviet Union and America were in a race to beat each other in the race we now know as the ‘Space Race’. In our work, we created a timeline of events to show how the race went. We really enjoyed guessing what country was first to do different things such as send something into space, the first man/woman and even a dog! We will be looking into the first man on the moon and the challenges they faced in the weeks to come.
