Seasons in Reception

In Reception we talked about the seasons and how the world changes in Spring time, from the flowers starting to grow, to the animals waking up. We went for a walk around the school and into the Eco-Garden to look for signs of Spring. We spotted the blossom, leaves starting to grow on the trees, daffodils, catkins hanging from the trees and even spotted some frogspawn in the pond. We sat quietly and listened to the song birds. We then talked about how it is like the world is waking up or coming back to life after the Winter.
