As part of our Reading and Art topic, Year 3 have had an in depth look at Roald Dahl’s book ‘Danny Champion of the World’. We have really enjoyed reading the story in our classes and finding out all about what Danny and his Dad got up to in the first part of the book.
We became artists and designed, tested and created our very own front covers for the book. We experimented with colour-washing and then chose our favourite design for the background. Then, we practised sketching before drawing our final piece over the top of our colour-wash backgrounds. Our wonderful artwork has been displayed for the whole school to see!
