Year 6 children have been working really hard all week, preparing their own political parties to try and become the next Pupil Prime Minister. A winning political party will be selected from each Year 6 class who will then stand for election. The whole school will decide on which party they would like to be elected by casting their vote.
The Year 6 children had to create their own political parties, decided on their stance on the issues of Food, Transport and Energy and write their manifesto and campaign speeches using persuasive language.
Once the children had written their manifesto and closing speeches, they had the chance to film it using a green screen. They had great fun deciding on what images they would use on screen, ranging from standing outside of Buckingham Palace to being inside the House of Commons. Everyone had a part to play, either in front of or behind the camera.
