Mummification in Year 5

Year 5 have had a go at mummification. Continuing on with our Ancient Egyptian topic we learnt how the Egyptians used to mummify their dead by covering their bodies in a special salt called Natron. We had a go ourselves using baking soda and salt. We even carved faces into the apples to make them look more realistic. We then wrote up a set of instructions on how to do the experiment.
