Medieval Day in Year 1

Year 1 celebrated all they’ve learnt during their ‘Castles’ topic with a Medieval day. We dressed up as queens, kings, knights, princesses and dragons and enjoyed creating our very own coats of arms and crowns. In the morning we peeled and chopped vegetables to make our own pottage and then enjoyed this at a banquet in the afternoon. We learnt some Medieval dancing and finished off with a sweet treat of gingerbread.
