Lost and Found in Reception

Our Reception children have loved this week’s focus story ‘Lost and Found’ by Oliver Jeffers.  They have created fabulous penguin paintings that look wonderful on display.  There have been lots of opportunities to retell the story using stick puppets, story maps and small world scenes.  Just like in the story, the children had a look through a telescope too… we could see the church spire. 
We have also used non-fiction books and the internet to find lots of interesting facts about penguins!
