In Science in Year 1, we have been learning about life cycles of different animal groups and talking about the huge changes that happen to frogs and caterpillars in particular, as they grow into adults. We learnt that this is called metamorphosis! Along with our learning, we have been really lucky to watch our very own caterpillars grow and begin to spin their own silk. Very soon, we have learnt that they will hang upside down and hang into chrysalides. We are really looking forward to seeing beautiful butterflies emerge in a couple of weeks time – watch this space!Â
