Investigating Heart Rate in Year 6

This week in Year 6, the children have worked in small groups to plan and carry out their own investigations to find out the effect of exercise on our heart rate. Every group chose something different to investigate – an example of one was ‘Will your heart beat faster if you run around the playground once or do 20 burpees?’.
