Three pupils from Lord Scudamore Academy have been selected to represent the school in a Herefordshire schools debating competition. Â There will be three children on each school team and they will be competing against other primary schools in November at Whitecross High School.
On 7th October, the children attended a training session at The Left Bank and they worked with high school students from Whitecross who regularly take part in debating competitions. Â They also heard from MP Jesse Norman who debates regularly at The House of Commons and Pete Lawrence, who started The Big Chill festival and now runs a debating company.
This will be a great opportunity for them to improve their literacy skills, as well as representing the school at county level.
