Herefordshire Sustainable Modes of Travel to School

default-featured-image

Herefordshire Council is reviewing its Sustainable Modes of Travel to School Strategy and needs your help in order to better understand how pupils currently travel to and from school and how their journeys could be made more sustainable.

The strategy will help to encourage pupils to travel to and from school in more sustainable ways, where possible, with a vision to “have a fully integrated transport system where every pupil within Herefordshire has the option to travel to and from school through sustainable travel choices, improving health, safety and reducing reliance on short distance car journeys”.

To help the council understand how journeys are currently made, they are asking as many parents as possible to complete a short online questionnaire at www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/Herefordshire_School_Travel_Survey.

The council will also contact you directly within the next 10 days to ask for your help. If you would prefer not to be contacted, please e-mail mathew.howells@herefordshire.gov.uk, stating the first line of your address and postcode.

The survey closes on Thursday 1 December 2016.
