Experiments in Year 1

This week in Year 1 we investigated what happened when we added water to a plate with skittles on. We found out that when the water was added, the food colouring dissolved and the colours made a beautiful rainbow. After this, we were full of questions… “What would happen if we used different sweets?” “Would the rainbow appear quicker if the water was warmer?” “What if we used juice instead of water?” to name a few! After half-term, we will find out the answers to our questions by carrying out our own investigations.
