Poppies in Reception

In Reception we have been reflecting on why we wear poppies. We learnt, after watching the BBC clip that after the war was over, poppies grew in the fields. We also learnt that we wear poppies to remember the soldiers who went to War.

Conkers in Reception

Our Reception children enjoyed a lovely walk to Widemarsh Common this week, where they had great fun collecting conkers! Everyone was very sensible and well behaved during our outing which made us feel incredibly proud! 

New Start in Reception

We have had our first full week in Lord Scudamore Academy Reception classes. Fun in Reception

Reception have had a busy and really fun week. Lots of new friends have been made and everyone is beginning to feel comfortable in school. We have played inside and outside lots and are ready for our first full week.

Starting school in Reception

Our new Reception children have settled in beautifully this week! The children have really enjoyed getting to know each other and exploring their new rooms.

Music Week in Reception

Coronation Street Party

We have thoroughly enjoyed celebrating the Kings Coronation, culminating in a street party in the playground. We danced away to music, played games, enjoyed cakes and devoured ice creams. Crowns in Reception

Reception have been making crowns as part of our coronation celebrations. We have had three classes full of kings and queens.
