Messy Play in Year 1

As part of our advent treat the children in Year 1 had a morning of Messy Play! We got the paint, playdough and glitter out to create some Christmas creations on a large scale. Great fun!
Diaries in Year 2

This week in Year 2 we have been busy writing a diary entry set during the Great Fire of London. We have worked so hard on trying to use all the skills needed including writing in the past tense, using conjunctions, adjectives and of course capital letters and full stops.
Senses in Nursery

We have been focusing on exploring all of our senses in nursery. We have taken part in taste and smell experiments and had the opportunity to take part in lots of activities which have got us using our senses.
Gingerbread Man

We have been enjoying listening to traditional tales. We have looked at the story of The Gingerbread Man. We made and and tasted gingerbread men. Then we made salt dough gingerbread men which we will take home for Christmas. We then painted portraits of them.
Healthy Wraps in Year 2

Road Safety Week

Debugging in Year 1

This week the children discussed how to debug an algorithm. We looked at a map and followed the instructions given. When we discovered a problem with the instructions (algorithm) we debugged it by removing or changing the step given.
Nationwide visit Year 1

This week some people from Nationwide Building Society visited us. They talked to us about different coins and bank notes. They discussed how to budget and save and where was best to put our money. Anne Frank Diaries in Year 6

This week in Year 6 we have been drafting diary entries in the role of Anne Frank. The children have really enjoyed researching all about her life and using this creatively in their writing.
Nationwide Visit Year 5

This week Year 5 were visited by staff from Nationwide Building Society. Dave, Alice and Simon taught us all about budgeting and saving. They showed us the difference between needs and wants and we had great fun working out our budget at a theme park.Â
