Instructions in Year 3

Year 3 have been busy this week writing instructions to help Mrs Taylor bath Scarlett. They have thought very hard and been very unique in how as a school we can care for our school dog.

Art Club in Year 1

The Year 1 children have enjoyed Art Club. We looked at different fireworks and used our previous learning of different lines during Art lessons to create our own fireworks pictures.

Secret Staff Meeting

We would like to say a big Thank You to Billy at Waterstones for hosting Lord Scudamore teachers last night. We had a marvellous time selecting some beautiful books to share with our classes. 

Pudsey in Reception

The Reception children have had a great time learning about Children in Need.

Diwali in Reception

Reception have been learning about Diwali, the Hindu festival of light. We learnt about the story of Rama and Sita and have been busy creating rangoli patterns in glitter, creating clay diya lamps and decorating hand templates with mehndi patterns.

Christmas Sale

The children of the Eco Team and The Social Action team were busy this week selling Christmas decorations and pre loved toys for local causes.  Thank you to all of the parents who donated unwanted items and all of those who came to pick a bargain.  We raised over £100. Well done all!

Autumn Walk in Year 1

Year 1 went for a walk on Thursday to spot signs of Autumn.  After watching ‘Let’s go for a walk’ with Ranger Hamza, they were ready to look and listen carefully.  They noticed where they were and, like Hamza does, they used their geography skills to make a simple map of their route. 

Stay and Play in Nursery

Nursery invited parents in for a Stay and Play session this week. It was lovely to see so many parents coming in to share activities with their child. 

Remembrance Day in Year 6

Last week, Year 6 focused on Remembrance Day and created poems to display. It was lovely to see the children come together to reflect on a significant time in our history. They turned out great!
