Coding Robotic Bees

Year 5 are learning about Lifecycles and as part of this have been learning about reproduction in plants.  5L have been building and programming bees to pollinate flowers.  They used a sensor within the bee and programmed it to stop when it reached a flower.

New Year’s Resolutions

Year 6 decided to set some New Year’s resolutions. They thought about areas they felt the need to work on to better themselves and to help the people around them.

Charity Head Shave

Big thank you to parents and children who raised in excess of £700 to go towards The Osborne Trust. When this is added to Mr Gittins’ fundraising the total for them will be over £3000, which is a huge amount of money for them. Mr Pember will be doing his head shave tomorrow.

Poppy Day

Last week, our Year 2 children created wonderful artwork, learned all about Armistice Day, Remembrance Sunday, visited the cenotaph in Hereford and  the Garden of Remembrance at Hereford Cathedral. The children were quite moved, very sensible and were a credit to our school. Well done Year 2!

Year 1 Castle Visit

Year 1 enjoyed a fantastic trip to Goodrich Castle this week. We explored the moat, the stables, the towers and even the dungeons! We learned all about the history of the castle, including the sieges and battles that took place. Year 1 behaved very well and were a credit to the school.
