The Gingerbread Man in Reception

Reception have been reading The Gingerbread Man and looking at ways that we can help him get across the river without being eaten by the fox! We think we have been successful with our challenge.
Number bonds in Year 1

To help with our addition and subtraction skills we have been practising our number bonds to 10 using Numicon to support this.
Soundscapes in Year 3

Year 3 have been working on using tuned and untuned percussion to create our own soundscapes. Within these lessons we have been focussing on creating layers by using different dynamics and tempos to create different effects. Year 3 have absolutely loved their new topic!

Computing in Year 4

Year 4 have been studying weather within their computing topic. They created weather gauges as a way of recording data about the weather conditions in Hereford. They are then aiming to collect this data using their computing skills to record the information. We look forward to seeing the results.
Forest School in Nursery

Nursery had such a lovely time in the Eco Garden. The children started by looking for sticks to use for our Stickman story. They then had great fun exploring the environment, building, digging and playing hide and seek.
Stained glass windows in Year 1

Year 1 have been very lucky to visit Hereford Cathedral this week and take part in a stained glass windows workshop, linked to our Art topic. The children really enjoyed having a tour of the cathedral and admiring the windows before creating their own stained glass windows to take home.Â
Ukrainian Workshops

This term, our Ukrainian children have had the opportunity to take part in weekly workshops which they have thoroughly enjoyed. They have made lots of lovely crafts, from making candles with Ukrainian beeswax to decorating a stocking for Saint Nicholas to fill with gifts – combing both English and Ukrainian traditions.Â
Bug Hunting in Year 1
