The Bog Baby in Reception

Our topic this week in Reception has been ‘The Bog Baby’. We have had so much fun reading this book. We have also written our own descriptions of the Bog Baby, created story maps, made our own Bog Baby’s using a range of different materials and designed the Bog Baby’s ideal home.

New Species in Year 6

Year 6 have been learning about classification in science and have studied Carl Linnaeus and his standardised classification system.  Last week, the children thoroughly enjoyed creating new species which had the characteristics of a specific group that they had chosen.  Their partners then had to classify their animals by analysing their features.
