Maps in Year 2

This week in Year 2, we’ve been learning about maps. As a team we had to work together to produce a small town. Our aim was to show an aerial view and add a key with symbols. We used Lego and blocks to build our towns.

Year 1 Scarecrows and Litter Pick

Year 1 have been celebrating Harvest by making scarecrows and following our school slogan of ‘Don’t Just Stand There’. To be helpful to our school community we have been doing litter picks around the school grounds.

Painting Apples in Reception

After examining various apples and discussing their characteristics, our Reception children used watercolour paints to represent their chosen apple.  They were encouraged to look closely at the object and consider shape, colour and unique features.
