Autumn Walk in Year 1

Year 1 went for a walk on Thursday to spot signs of Autumn. Â After watching ‘Let’s go for a walk’ with Ranger Hamza, they were ready to look and listen carefully. Â They noticed where they were and, like Hamza does, they used their geography skills to make a simple map of their route.Â
Stay and Play in Nursery

Nursery invited parents in for a Stay and Play session this week. It was lovely to see so many parents coming in to share activities with their child.Â
Remembrance Day in Year 6

Last week, Year 6 focused on Remembrance Day and created poems to display. It was lovely to see the children come together to reflect on a significant time in our history. They turned out great!

Diwali in Forest School

At forest school on Friday Year 1 made firework sticks to celebrate Diwali. Â We learned about Diwali and also looked at 3D art. Â We used wrapping skills to make our firework sticks!
Poppies in Reception

In Reception we have been reflecting on why we wear poppies. We learnt, after watching the BBC clip that after the war was over, poppies grew in the fields. We also learnt that we wear poppies to remember the soldiers who went to War.
Fireworks in Nursery

The Nursery children were very excited to tell us about the fireworks they had seen on the weekend, so we found some videos of different types of fireworks to watch. The children then enjoyed using chalk to create their own fireworks pictures.
Jobs in Year 1

This week in Year 1, we have had lots of fun learning about medieval jobs which people did in castles, from noble men to gong farmers, and comparing them with jobs which people do today. We really enjoyed talking about what we wanted to do when we were older!Â
Spreading Harvest in Year 4
