Year 3 have been busy this week writing instructions to help Mrs Taylor bath Scarlett. They have thought very hard and been very unique in how as a school we can care for our school dog.

Secret Staff Meeting

We would like to say a big Thank You to Billy at Waterstones for hosting Lord Scudamore teachers last night. We had a marvellous time selecting some beautiful books to share with our classes.

Remembrance Day in Year 6

Last week, Year 6 focused on Remembrance Day and created poems to display. It was lovely to see the children come together to reflect on a significant time in our history. They turned out great!

Harvest Candles in Year 6

This week, we have been busy celebrating Harvest. We had the opportunity to invite parents and carers into school to help us make some Harvest candles. We have also enjoyed creating poems and singing songs about this time of year.

Hot Seating in Year 1

This week in Year 1, we have all had a go at hot seating in the role of the Big Bad Wolf. This really helped us with making our wanted posters and writing a new ending to the story.

Billy Goats in Nursery

We have been enjoying our class story The Three Billy Goats Gruff. We have been building bridges and retelling the story through small world and role play.

Goldilocks in Nursery

In Nursery this week our focus story has been Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We have all enjoyed listening to the story, playing in the small world tray, painting our own bears and even making (and eating) our own 3 bear porridge.

Poems of Courage in Year 4

Year 4 have really enjoyed studying the book ‘The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse’. We have had a strong English focus, studying the book and in particular looking at the word ‘Courage’. We turned our ideas about courage into beautiful poems. We created line drawings inspired by the artwork from the book.
