Chinese New Year in Reception

Reception have had a wonderful time learning about Chinese New Year. The children have been busy playing in the Chinese Restaurant and tasting typical Chinese food, creating Chinese lanterns, painting Chinese style symbols and travelling like the animals in the Chinese Zodiac Race story.

Clarice Cliff in Year 1

This week in Year 1, we have learnt all about Clarice Cliff and have spent lots of time looking at and admiring her various artwork. This inspired us to apply our colour mixing skills we have learnt over Spring term to paint a plate in her style, with concentric circles in both primary and secondary colours. 

The Stage in Nursery
