Black History Month in Year 5

Year 5 were tasked with writing like Phillis Wheatley for Black History Month. They created a painting depicting slavery into freedom inspired by the Harriet Tubman picture and were given artisitc freedom of how they wanted to do this. They then developed and wrote a free speech poem to describe their emotions of being freed from slavery. The pictures and poems are beautiful and the poems are so well-thought out, in depth and thought provoking.
