The Girl in the Jar
There was only darkness, just darkness, all she could see was darkness. The girl was fast asleep
dreaming of a world of candy. The girl woke up and saw all the glass walls around her “Help let me out” she cried as she tried to break the glass. The girl was trapped in a jar. “Nothings working!” she yelled as she sat down tired and exhausted.
The girl was thinking if she would ever get home to her sister, brother, mum and dad. She thought she could roll onto one side and roll away but she couldn’t so she decided to stay sat down and wait for someone to come and help her. She didn’t get much luck
She searched through her pockets and found an old photograph of her family all eating dinner on her first birthday. A tear rolled down her face and landed on the photograph.
“Argh!” she screamed as she saw her pet dog running towards her at full speed. She tried to dodge the dog but forgot she was trapped in the jar. The dog started crashing into the jar and licking it and sitting on it and rolling it into the bush like a bowling ball. “Stop you cheeky dog” she cried but the dog didn’t hear her because the dog was panting so loudly. “Stop stop stop!” she yelled. “woof woof woof” the dog barked.
“Please stop” she muttered in a frightened voice.”Woof!” barked the dog”I don’t speak dog”she cried”woof woof woof woof woof!”The girl fell over and the jar tipped over”ouch but phew”she cried. She started to roll away from her dog. She saw a brick lying on the floor so she rolled at full speed towards the brick. SMASH! CRASH! The jar went. Nearly smashing the girl but then she felt a hand pick her up. she turned around. “MUM!” she cried.
Her mum was carrying her into the house to show the family. “We’ve booked a holiday,” said her dad. “We couldn’t find you so we didn’t book you,” said her brother meanly. “That’s enough”, shouted her mum. “Because you’re tiny you can sneak into the airport and fly on the plant with us to Australia”. So they all went to Australia but the girl grew and couldn’t go on the aeroplane so she lived there forever. You may see her there today and ask her about her life.
