PSHE & Values
PE in Lord Scudamore develops the children’s knowledge, skills and understanding, so that they can perform with increasing competence and confidence in a range of physical activities.
At Lord Scudamore Academy, we aim to provide young people with the knowledge, understanding, attitudes and practical skills to live healthily, safely, productively and responsibly. We encourage all our pupils to play a positive role in contributing to school life and the wider community through our pupil council, fundraising events, supporting both local and national charities and involvement in community activities e.g. ‘Growing Local’ at Tillington, our choir singing carols at Watkins Court and various sport events. RJ
Values education is embedded thought-out our school and the themes for our assemblies develop confidence, self-motivation, and an understanding of their rights and responsibilities within society, so that they feel safe and can manage their lives today and in the future.
PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) and SEAL (Social and Emotional Aspects of Learning) are taught through lessons, assemblies and through other subjects, as well as through educational visits and visits from external agencies such as PDSA, Herefordshire Firefighters and Water Aid.
