In DT we had to design a windmill for a mouse to live in from the song ‘A Windmill in Old Amsterdam’. The children were given templates and had to think of what would appeal to a mouse – CHEESE! They then assembled their structures making a cylinder base. Following on from that we then had to create our turbines with an axel using a pipe cleaner and some washers. We threaded our pipe cleaners through our structure to attach the turbines before creating a roof to top off our windmills. After completion we evaluated our design and creation using two stars and a wish.
