A Busy Week in Year 1

Year 1 have had a very busy week.  It is British Science Week this week and we have been doing practical investigations and learning about the conservationist Jane Goodall.  We discovered that if you measure the circumference of tress you can find out how old they are. We took part in a treasure hunt where we tried to work out what the magnified images are.  In maths have been counting in 2s, 5s and 10’s.  We played a game with beanbags where the children scored 2, 5 or 10 for each throw.  They then counted up their score. We also composed and performed our own piece of superhero music.  We rounded off the week with Swimming and Red Nose Day silliness.
