Rivers in Year 5

Last week we looked at rivers of the world as part of our rainforest topic. We have been focusing on the Amazon but this week we explored more famous rivers, and in particular why cities are built near rivers. We enjoyed looking at the different ways in which people can use the rivers to their benefit, and also chose a famous river to look into in more depth. We created a map to show our findings, here are some examples:
