Blood in Year 6

The circulatory system is the Year 6 topic in science this half term.  Our first lesson involved taking a closer look at blood and its contents.  We created our own using cheerios and red food colouring for red blood cells, marshmallows for white blood cells, hundreds and thousands for platelets and orange squash for the plasma. We learnt about the function of each ingredient.
