Year 5 will be visiting Swansea’s Egypt Centre as part of their work on Egypt.
The children will take part in a full day of activities in the House of Life (Costume, Music, Hieroglyphic Writing, Mathematics, Measuring, Senet, Exploring, Object Handling) and the House of Death (Mummification, Weighing of the Heart, Servants, Survival in the Afterlife, Food and Drink, Gods of Egypt, Animals of Egypt).
To make the most of the visit, we will need to meet at school at 8am. Â We will travel to Swansea and take part in a full day of workshops and return to school by 4.30pm. Â The children will need to bring a packed lunch and snacks.
The cost of the trip is £11 which includes the coach hire cost and a full day of workshops with a museum guide.
On 8th November half of Class 5W and all of Class 5C will go.
On 9th November half of Class 5W and all of Class 5G will go.
