Today we have celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in style! We have had ice creams, worn red, white and blue, participated in Jubilee activities and spent time playing outside together as a whole school.
Some children made magnificent Jubilee crowns at home and paraded them for us all to see. After much deliberation, a pair of real life jewellers from Mike Gell chose a winner from Early Years/Key Stage 1, a winner from Key Stage 2 and an overall winner who won a bag of genuine pearls!
The winners were:
Harper Price-Johnson, Madison Mercer and Layla Bayley. Congratulations and well done to everyone who took part.
During the week, each class produced a piece of artwork depicting the Queen and the Jubilee, and we have displayed this on the fence by the running track. It has been great to see the children going over and admiring all of the work and we think you will agree that it all looks wonderful. Here are some pictures:
