Safer Internet Day #SID2020 was celebrated by all our pupils at Lord Scudamore Academy before half term.

In Year 1, the children read the story of ‘The Adventures of Smartie the Penguin’ from Childnet. They loved the story and were inspired to paint delightful pictures of penguins, they made their painting pretend to be Smartie using Chatterpix app, sang the song and they also produced a special film clip of the story. We hope you like it.

The Year 1 teachers lead a super assembly all about Safer Internet Day and the Year 2 and Year 3 pupils have designed their own avatars this year.

All of the Key Stage 2 pupils have been learning how to ‘Be Internet Legends’ they have been learning how to be Sharp, Alert, Secure, Kind and Brave online. Year 4 have been learning about phishing and how to evaluate information on the Internet.

In Year 5 we celebrated Safer Internet Day by exploring what makes up your online identity – the facts or characteristics about you and also how others perceive and interact with you. We filled in a wheel to demonstrate our learning
