Germination in Year 2

In Year 2 this week we have been learning all about germination. We also created our own bumblebees and discovered how pollen can spread from flower to flower and create new flowers.

“It was a really fun activity and we loved making our bees. The glitter started as separate colours and when the bees moved between the flowers the glitter got mixed up, just like it would with pollen!”

The children also learnt how pollen can spread via wind, other animals and humans.
