Celebrating Harvest in Reception

default-featured-image

This year we will be celebrating Harvest during the last week in September. The children will be taking part in various activities including making bread, vegetable soup, corn dollies and vegetable collages/paintings. They will be attending the church for a Harvest service and will be singing songs and presenting their Harvest gifts which will be distributed by the Pupil Council to members of the local community. Please note that the Harvest service is for the children only.

We would like to invite you into school during this week to work with your child on a Harvest activity:

Friday 30th September ~ 2.15pm – 2.50pm

Please can we ask that you send Harvest gift donations into school from Monday 26th September, this can be fresh produce or tinned/packet food. We will then take these gifts to the church for our service.

On Thursday 29th September the children can come to school dressed as farmers or scarecrows for the day.

We hope that you can join us and ask that you complete and return the reply slip.
Please see your class teacher if you have any concerns or questions.
