British Science Week

This week is British Science Week!
We began on Friday when Ruth Morris from Welsh Water visited KS2 to teach us about what Welsh Water do in our community and all about the water cycle. The children listened really well and several of them got to join in with the assembly.
Ruth then ran workshops in Year 3 classes where the children had to carefully plan a pipeline around a town and ensure everyone had plenty of water.

The main messages from Welsh Water were that only three things should go down the toilet; Pee, Poo and Paper!
We also discussed turning off the tap whilst brushing teeth for the full 2 minutes morning and night.

Classes will take part in a class swap this week where children will teach children in a different year group – pictures to follow.

The week will end with the launch of a Science competition. More details to follow!
