Children in Need!

Today we celebrated Children in Need 2022 by wearing spots, bright colours and Pudsey ears! We thought a lot about why we have this day every year and what it means to us. We donated money to help those less fortunate than us, and the final total will be added up soon. Thank you to […]

Children in Need in Year 3

To celebrate Children in Need 2022, lots of us wore bright colours, spots or Pudsey accessories! We did the Joe Wicks ‘Walk with Pudsey’ which involved a warm up via YouTube with Joe and Pudsey, and then a 1 mile walk around the school, which 3LS did with 2A. We had such a great day!

Remembrance Day

At Lord Scudamore we have spent a lot of time thinking about Remembrance Day and all that it means for us. Each year group made their own pieces of work to remember those who sacrificed so much and we have displayed them around our school for all to see. At 11am today, we held a […]

Stone Age Art in Year 3

This week we created a group painting in a prehistoric style. Harvest in Key Stage 2

Today, Key Stage 2 were lucky enough to attend a special Harvest service at St. Nicholas Church, just down the road from school! We sang two harvest songs (really well) called ‘Autumn Days’ and ‘Cauliflowers Fluffy’. Reverend Jae read a reading from the bible and we talked about the importance of helping people who need […]

Harvest in Year 3

This week we have been looking at Harvest and our school motto this harvesttime of ‘Don’t Just Stand There!’. Our focus is on actively doing something to help others in our school and community. We all made our own scarecrows and wrote some inspirational quotes to go with them. We are very proud of our […]

Rock Detectives in Year 3

Today we turned into rock detectives and we searched around our school to see how rocks are used for different material in everyday life. We could not believe how many we found!

Roald Dahl in Year 3

As part of our Reading and Art topic, Year 3 have had an in depth look at Roald Dahl’s book ‘Danny Champion of the World’. We have really enjoyed reading the story in our classes and finding out all about what Danny and his Dad got up to in the first part of the book. […]
